The stories that illustrate the sarcasm baked into the nickname "Lucky" are too numerous to tell (e.g., the beer-can in the gut story, the police incident at the parking garage, the car fire ... etc., etc.)

While technically Mr. Parker holds 5 Grappa Amateur plaques, it is important to note that 2 of those victories (2006 and 2011) were without the Swedes in the field. Lucky spent most of 2025 working on a project in Reykjavik, Iceland, so he hasn't played as much golf and might be a little rusty come May.

While the lack of practice will certainly affect Mr. Parker's golf game, it isn't clear how. Let's face it, all the practice in the world hasn't prevented his fairly frequent meltdowns in the past, although he is coming off of his latest Grappa Amateur title in 2024.
