Krille Olsson

"The Stork" is certainly an emotional favorite and his musical debut at the 2001 event will forever be an unforgettable part of Grappa History. That fiasco triggered his original Grappa nickname, "Songbird". One of two lefties in the Grappa Invitational (Chuck Mugler is the other), Krille has been an important part of the event and of Team Sweden.

After a few years of beating Krille over the head with the "Songbird" thing, he finally earned a nickname change. "The Stork" was the natural choice, I mean look at the tall, skinny, goofy fucker.

In 2004, Krille broke through for his first and only victory in the Grappa Amateur, and this is how it went down. On the trip across the pond, United Airlines lost Krille's clubs. As a result, he played each course with available pro-shop rental clubs. In the spirit of fair play, the other competitors agreed to add a few strokes to his handicap. Nonetheless, he bitched and he whined, and he bitched and he whined, and then he won the damn Grappa Amateur by so many strokes that he would have won even without the extra strokes.

Sadly, Krille has ... for the most part ... lost interest in golf and hasn't attended since 2017. We are all hoping he will re-ignite that spark and come back!
